Our community is in memory of my beautiful best friend, Bobby (pictured with me on the right). Bobby was my perfectly happy and healthy, six year old maltese bichon, who suddenly passed away and broke my heart in September 2025. He was my bestest friend in the world - we lived alone together when I bought my first house and before I met my husband. When my son was born, he was the most loyal and loving older brother. Always sitting by me to bath the baby, rock him to sleep, accompany me for the night feeds and he'd always be the first to jump up when the baby monitor would go off. He was the most caring, hilarious and loyal soul I could wish for.
Towards the end of August 2025, Bobby was his usual crazy and loving self, running around the beach with zoomies. Two days later, he randomly started urinated blood on our carpet and became very weak. Bobby was severely anemic and in critical condition. We took him for an urgent blood transfusion where the animal hospital told us in the most compassionate way that the kindest thing to do would be to put our beautiful boy to sleep. I've never felt pain or devastation like it. My heart was completely shattered without my beautiful little boy. We will don't (and never will) know what happened to Bobby. I will miss him forever.
I wanted to set up a community in memory of Bobby, because he deserves to always be remembered. I started 'Less People More Dogs' in the hope of raising awareness of pet grief, holding group coffee dog walks, charity events and selling products to improve the health and well-being of dogs and their owners.
Thank you for visiting our page and being a part of our wonderful community. Being a 'dog person' is the best kind of person you can be...
